Old National Bank Welcomes "All" to the YMCA

Old National Bank pledges $75,000 to the YMCA’s Strong Past Bright Future campaign. A $15,000 grant from the Old National Bank Foundation and a $60,000 pledge from the local Old National Bank combined to give the YMCA $75,000 designated to help build the new Y on the northwest side of Bloomington.

Monroe County YMCA seeks bond to replace pool, hot tub this year

The Bloomington Economic Development Commission has taken the first step toward approving a request by the YMCA for a $2.5 million industrial development bond, the proceeds of which the Y plans to use to replace its smaller heated pool with a larger multi-function family/program pool; replace the greenhouse hot tub with a new one; and replace the heating and air conditioning units in the large pool area.

YMCA RECEIVES GRANT

The Monroe County YMCA was generously given a $50,000 grant from the Community Foundation for construction of a licensed child care and preschool center within the new northwest YMCA.  The grant will be matched dollar for dollar by Cook Medical enabling the construction of two early child education rooms within the center.  With the help of the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, the YMCA will be able to build a healthy mind, body, and spirit for all.
