Current Opportunities
Welcome Center - We are in need of volunteers interested in an on-going volunteer opportunity our Welcome Center. These volunteers are responsible for greeting members, assisting with check-in and handling towel and lock requests. We have volunteer shifts available weekdays from 8:30 - 10:30am and Saturday mornings from 9:00 am - noon. Summer Camp Prep - We've got work to do in order to welcome all of our campers back in June! Currently, we are looking for volunteers to paint several picnic tables/benches. We will supply the materials. Paint a little or a lot ... whatever you have time for. Contact Mandy if you want to help out with this project.
Play and Learn - We are looking for people willing to do one two-hour shift per week, any day Monday - Friday (9am-11am preferrably). Need to be able/willing to get up and down from the floor. Volunteers are used to lead games, read stories, interact and, most of all, have fun with our Play 'N Learn kids! Contact Mandy for more info!
Adapted Aquatics - Volunteers are needed on Fridays from 3:30-5:30pm to assist our Adapted Aquatics program participants in the water. This is a very rewarding opportunity where you can make a big difference. Past volunteers have commented that they feel they may get as much from the program as the participants! Service In Friendship - We are searching for a group of knitters, crocheters and quilters to come together each month to garner their talents on behalf of, for example, the Monroe County YMCA Partner With Youth Scholarship Fund, the Shalom Center, and other agencies.
