This 2-part series on personal protection is taught by CEO Jason Winkle and his wife, Kirsten Winkle. Jason's background in the Personal Protection world spans more than two decades. He was the Martial Arts Coordinator for Indiana State University for over 8 years. As a civilian, he also served as the Director of Combatives for the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He was the President of the International Tactical Officers Training Association and a writer for SWAT Digest.
Kirsten Winkle is a Martial Concepts' Personal Protection Instructor and has taught classes with her husband for the past five years. Her understanding of the body's vulnerabilities, stemming from her background in sports medicine and personal training, has helped build a curriculum that is based not on strength but on leverage and physiology.
