Due to Governor Holcomb’s statewide Stay-at-Home Order extension to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Monroe County Y facilities (Southeast, Northwest, and Gymnastics Center) will remain closed until further notice.  Once we re-open the facilities, members will have access to our Southeast and Northwest Y facilities, available for individual use. Once we re-open, we will enforce practices to help maintain social distancing, such as making only every other cardio machine available for use in our Wellness Centers.

Thank you for your patience with us as we continue to work to best respond to the COVID-19 situation. We have been in close contact with our Monroe County Health Department, Y-USA, Indiana Alliance of YMCAs, neighboring YMCAs, and various other community constituents regarding this situation and the evolving legislation surrounding it.

All programming at both our Southeast and Northwest Y facilities and Gymnastics Center will remain closed until further notice even after we tentatively re-open. Once the CDC relieves the social distancing practices, we will announce when these programs will become available again. Programs include, but are not limited to, the following: Group Exercise classes, Play and Learn, The Zone, Tiger Sharks, Healthy Hearts and Active Lives, Adult Basketball, and Swim Lessons. These programs will remain closed as they entail groups of people in confined spaces for extended periods of time. Please directly contact the program director if you have a specific question or email us at info@monroecountyymca.org. If you already paid for programming that has now been canceled, a program credit will be applied to your account.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate the challenging circumstances related to the Coronavirus. We are all operating in unknown territory right now, and we are working as quickly as we can to keep you updated and address your questions.
