Our Philosophy
The Y provides an environment that encourages curiosity, creativity and expression. We encourage healthy growth in spirit, mind, and body, with cooperation and mutual respect for everyone. We develop this through positive character development and by modeling these behaviors through teacher-children interactions. Children are individuals, and we believe in developing the whole child emotionally, physically, intellectually, and socially, while meeting each child’s own needs and learning styles. Through games, group activities, songs, creative drama, gym time, outdoor play, and story time, children will learn about the world around them. We believe in partnering with parents to encourage whole child development within a safe and nurturing environment.

These classes take place at the Southeast Y branch.
The preschool classes for the 2016/2017 school year will begin on August 15 and run throughMay 12, 2017.

We follow MCCSC's break schedule throughout the year.
