Youth Enrichment for Homeschool Families
The Y Homeschool Hub allows children to learn and grow in a hands-on environment while developing skills like creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking while building life skills like responsibility and independence.
The Y Homeschool Hub offers creative education opportunities and physical activity options for homeschool families including physical education, swimming, and art.
Join us for monthly sessions with eight classes per session. The Y Homeschool Hub meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our Southeast Y. Rates are $120 per Y member or $150 per non-member.
Y Homeschool Hub Schedule:
- 9:00-10:00 am: Gym & Swim – Kids can get active and learn the mechanics of moving along the way!
- GYM: On Thursdays, learn about fitness and exercise through P.E.-style group and team athletics. Please wear clothes you can freely move in.
- SWIM: On Tuesdays, build aquatic skills while learning cool pool science and engaging in facilitated water play. Please bring a swimsuit and towel.
- 10:15-11:30 am: Launch Lab – Kids can get creative with a range of art mediums from crafting with paint brushes and glue guns to constructing with hammers and screwdrivers!
- FORM: Guided crafting anchored in artistic elements and principles
- FUNCTION: Expanding upon basic arts and crafts, incorporating functional construction while learning how to use basic tools safely
- 11:30 am-12:00 pm: Lunch & Tell – Bring lunch from home and learn from each other. Plus, an opportunity for children to grow their presentation skills if desired.
