Northwest Y Summer Camp
Summer Camp is a YMCA tradition, and we've got it down to an art. From sports to dancing to playing in the dirt, we help kids unplug from fancy gadgets and get in touch with their playful side! Best of all, at the Y, you know that every program we put on is rooted in our core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

For our 2024 Summer Camp, the Y is excited to offer streamlined pricing for all our camps.
During Summer Camp weeks that include a holiday, FULL-WEEK camp pricing (i.e. excluding Single Day options) will be adjusted to account for the missing day(s). Pro-rated camp weeks will be denoted with an asterisk (*) which designates a camp week that includes an observed holiday.

Preschool Camps, School-Age Camps, & Tween Camps

Preschool (age 3-5)

All preschool campers will be participating in age-appropriate gross motor games and activities that are created to reinforce our weekly themes. Campers will also have the opportunity to practice fine motor skills through different art experiences by using a wide variety of resources and materials.
Preschool Camp Options:
Pathfinders
Age 3
Through songs, physical play, and outdoor water activities, Pathfinders creates a great experience for three-year-olds to explore an enriching and safe environment in a relaxed setting. Pathfinders will be swimming once a week only. Rates for Pathfinders follow our Half-Day Weekly Rates, as we only offer Half-Day Camp for campers aged three.

Little Leaders
Age 4

Summer Camp may look like it’s all just fun and games, but it’s so much more! Campers are making new friends, learning how to be a part of a group, practicing teamwork, and enjoying new “unplugged” experiences in the natural world. Each week of camp will have a unique theme with corresponding games, activities, and crafts. Campers can look forward to enjoying something new every week.

YMCA Specialty Camps provide campers the opportunity to explore their creative side, build on emerging skills, and connect with other campers who have shared interests. Days will consist of specialized programming and favorite camp games and activities. We offer a variety of Specialty Camps at both of our branches, so make sure to check out our options at our Southeast Y!

A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Ages 6-12

Jedi or Sith? They both exist! Fine-tune your Force powers through Jedi meditation and obstacle course challenges mixed with traditional camp activities. Campers can expect to participate in pod-racing, galaxy slime-making, and create their own Sith or Jedi robe. Your camper will feel as though they have traveled back a long time ago to a galaxy far, far away.

Art Camp

Unleash your child’s imagination this summer! Your camper will be introduced to some famous artists and have the chance to learn and recreate their style. We’ll even have an art show at the end of the week to display all of our wonderful and art-rageous creations!

Master Builders LEGO

Surviving the Wild

Creative Mode (NEW!)

This camp is for the Minecraft enthusiasts! Explore building basics, play Minecraft-themed games and crafts, and learn video game basics. Campers can create a world of their own with their friends and think about all the different ideas that go into it. While we won’t be just playing video games all week, we are sure your camper will love this variation of learning when it comes to the world of Minecraft and camp colliding into one.

Cheer and Dance

Campers will learn cheer and dance routines, fundamental gymnastics techniques, jumping techniques, and basic dance steps. We will not do stunting. The week concludes with a choreographed performance. Come join us for fun team-building in a relaxed environment.

Game Mania (NEW!)

Come on down! Your camper can be the next “contestant” with Game Mania! In this camp, your child can enjoy different board games that are fun for all ages. Sports Camps offer specialized youth sports training and are designed to teach sports skills, fair play, teamwork, and sportsmanship while reinforcing the YMCA’s values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Sports Camp Information
- Sports Camp offerings are a Full-day option or a Half-day in the morning option.
- Full-day camps meet from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Full-day Sports Campers will swim multiple times a week no matter the weekly theme.
- Half-day camps meet from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Half-day Sports Campers will not swim.
- Camps will be divided into age groups to maximize play and fun.

Triathlon

Try your hand at being a triathlete! Races take place on a closed course utilizing our Northwest Y indoor pool our outdoor track around the building and soccer field.
Participants aged 6-10 will swim 100 yards, bike 2 miles, and run a 1/2 mile.
Participants aged 11-14 will swim 150 yards, bike 2 miles, and run 1 mile.

Extended Day (AM and PM)

AM EXTENDED DAY
We are excited to offer complimentary morning Extended Day beginning at 7:30 am to any camper age four and older enrolled in a morning camp.
- Registration required for Day, Specialty, and Sports Camp to ensure safety and program quality:
- REGISTER HERE for Full Week Mornings
- REGISTER HERE for Single Day Mornings
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Time: 7:30–8:45 am
- Free of charge if your camper is enrolled in a 9:00 am camp and is four years old or older.
- Beginning at 8:45 am, camp staff will escort children from Extended Day to their camp.
PM EXTENDED DAY
We also offer Extended Day in the afternoons for a small weekly or daily fee, both of which are outlined below.
