Rhythm Class
Ages 5-12
Southeast Y
Join us for Rhythm, a high-energy, hands-on class where kids and tweens learn the fundamentals of rhythm, movement, and music in a fun and engaging way! Using pool noodles, drumsticks, and percussion instruments, participants will explore how to create unified rhythms as a group, experiment with tempo and dynamics, and discover the joy of making music together.
In each session, students will:
- Learn and practice basic rhythm patterns
- Develop coordination and timing through full-body movement
- Explore elements of music theory such as tempo, beat, and dynamics
- Build teamwork and confidence through group drumming activities
This program is designed to be both educational and energetic, combining creative expression with physical activity. Whether your child is new to music or already tapping to the beat, Rhythm offers a unique and playful way to dive into the world of rhythm. Our pilot session begins with two open houses, FREE to the public!
