Healthy Workplace Collaborative
The Monroe County YMCA is proud to establish the Healthy Workplace Collaborative. At the Y, we believe workplace health is a community health issue. Stress, burnout, disengagement, and unhealthy leadership practices do not remain confined to the workplace. They affect families, schools, neighborhoods, and the overall well-being of our community. As employees, leaders, and organizations, we share both an opportunity and responsibility to cultivate workplaces where people can thrive—not only as employees but as whole human beings.
As a free program, the YMCA Healthy Workplace Collaborative Charter represents a voluntary, values-driven commitment to building healthier organizations for the good of our people and our community.
What it means to be a Healthy Workplace:
- People are treated with dignity and respect
- Leaders model integrity, emotional intelligence, and accountability
- Stress is addressed proactively, not ignored or normalized
- Physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being are supported
- Connection, belonging, and purpose are cultivated
- Performance and well-being are understood as mutually reinforcing
What the YMCA provides:
- A simple, actionable framework for healthier workdays
- Onsite and virtual sessions tailored to your workforce
- Movement and recovery routines employees can use immediately
- Team-based challenges that build energy and connection
- Resources to support employees and their families
The YMCA is known for health and community —and that’s exactly what workplaces need today. We don’t just offer classes or programs; we help organizations create daily rhythms that support well-being from the inside out. Healthy workdays lead to healthier people, stronger teams, and better business outcomes.
