Rock Steady Boxing

Living with Parkinson’s disease can bring daily challenges—but you don’t have to face them alone. At the YMCA, we're partnering with Rock Steady Boxing to offer a supportive, evidence-based program designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay connected. We’re committed to programs that make a real difference—and Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) is backed by growing scientific evidence that supports its impact on those living with Parkinson’s disease. When Rock Steady Boxing began in 2006, research on exercise and Parkinson’s was limited. Today, that’s changed. Studies now show that moderate-to-high-intensity exercise is one of the most effective tools for managing symptoms and improving quality of life.

A Program That Works for You

Move with Purpose
Rock Steady Boxing classes focus on improving balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination—key areas that support everyday movement and independence. Each workout is designed to help you build confidence and feel more in control of your body.

Personalized for Every Journey
No two Parkinson’s experiences are the same. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing symptoms for years, our trained instructors adapt each class to meet you where you are and help you progress at your own pace.

More Than a Workout

A Community That Cares
At the YMCA, you’re part of something bigger. Rock Steady Boxing brings people together in a welcoming, encouraging environment where friendships grow, and support comes naturally. Here, you’ll find people who understand—and who are cheering you on every step of the way. Rock Steady Boxing is more than exercise—it’s a community of support, strength, and resilience. Participants build confidence, connect with others, and take an active role in their health journey.
