What is Water Fitness?
In Adult Aquatics Classes ("Water Group Exercise"), you'll follow a trained instructor doing exercises alongside other participants in the pool. These classes are open to participants ages 12 and older.
Benefits of Water Exercise
Adults who maintain at least 2.5 hours of aerobic activity each week can decrease the risk of chronic illness, and leads to improved health for people with diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, and more. According to the CDC, people report enjoying water-based exercise more than exercising on land. And water facilitates less strain on your joints, so you can exercise in the water for longer than on land. Water exercise has also been found to improve the mood and decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression.

30 Minute Water Running
This class incorporates running in intervals (uphill, downhill, and the flats) as well as speed drills. Flotation belts are utilized.
Maximum 12 participants.
Arthritis Aquatics Basic
Range of motion exercises for each major body part. Exercises improve flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, joint nutrition, and performance of daily activities. Instructors are certified by the Arthritis Foundation.
Arthritis Aquatics Plus
Includes exercises and activities designed to promote functional endurance as well as musculoskeletal flexibility and strength. Instructors are certified by the Arthritis Foundation.
Arthritis Aquatics Deep Water
This is a fun and invigorating recreational exercise program. Lead by instructors certified through the Arthritis Foundation, this program can benefit anyone who is limited by impaired joint motion and/or strength.
Aqua Fit Shallow
A gentle water exercise class using movements to build balance, strength, increase flexibility and range of motion, and increase cardiovascular fitness.
Aqua Fit Deep Water
Take your workout up a notch with this interval based class that will get your heart pumping! Expect to work hard as you get a great cardio workout all while toning muscles and avoiding impact. Belts are provided, but you need to feel comfortable in deep water.

The pool is where a pregnant woman wants to be! This fun aqua workout will tone your body by using the water for resistance and allow for relaxing stretching. Additional benefits: you’re weightless when you’re in the water, which helps provide a low-impact yet effective exercise, and water workouts help to reduce swelling!
