Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Health Promotion and a Bachelor's degree in Health and Fitness Management. She is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer, an AEA-certified Aquatics Instructor, and an ACE-certified Group Exercise Instructor.
Amy has experience working with a wide range of individuals from youth to senior citizens, tailoring each training program specifically to the individual’s needs. Amy’s philosophy: “Being healthy isn’t always about how you look, but rather how you feel. Focusing on numbers is important, but focusing on how you feel can be just as important.”
Brant has a Bachelor's degree in Recreation from Indiana University and is an ACSM-certified Personal Trainer. He has over a decade of coaching experience of all levels, from three-year-olds to seventy-year-olds. Brant’s training also ranges from general conditioning to peak athletic fitness.
Brant specializes in endurance sports, in which he has worked with athletes from all over the United States and in five different countries. He is also knowledgeable in other areas of fitness. Brant understands that everyone comes from different backgrounds, and we all have different obstacles to overcome. He will challenge you to be your best, but he will primarily be there to support you through every step of your fitness journey.
Bryan is NASM-certified and is the former Vice President of the Ball State University Boxing Club. He has a strong background in bodybuilding, flexibility & mobility training, and functional fitness, as well as a robust background in martial arts and self-defense training with an emphasis on realism, not “boxer-cising.” Bryan also has a unique specialty in rock climbing and other outdoor adventure sports, including triathlons, hiking, and obstacle course racing.
In his free time, Bryan enjoys rock climbing, reading, writing, doing chores for his wife (he hopes she reads this), drumming, and stand-up comedy. Bryan’s philosophy: “You have the rest of your life to became the best you, so be patient, and enjoy the ride.”
Having been with the YMCA for over 15 years, Chris has worked with a wide variety of individuals through different programs, including Cardiac Rehab, W.I.S.E., and Y-Fitness for Life. Her goal is to provide functional and effective exercises by determining the needs of the individual and teaching specific exercises that will benefit her clients the most.
Chris is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer and an ACE-certified Weight Loss Specialist who believes fitness starts with taking that first step towards a healthier lifestyle, and that improving your health and wellness leads to a more positive outlook on life.
Darren is an AFPA-certified Personal Trainer who focuses on sports conditioning, nutrition, and working with seniors. Darren feels physical health requires discipline, which leads to greater spiritual and emotional health. “When you train your body, you begin to see a variety of changes. The physical and mental benefits of exercise are not just about adding years to our life, but adding life to our years!”
Deb has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer & Group Ex Instructor, and an ACSM-certified Health Fitness Specialist. Deb’s strengths as a trainer are in her many years of experience and her ability to make a client feel at ease in the gym. As a trainer, Deb enjoys helping her clients reach their fitness goals, as well as the challenge of reducing the fear that clients associate with free weights and/or working out in the free weight room.
Jen is an ACSM-certified Personal Trainer, an ACE-certified Group Fitness Instructor, an AEA-certified Aquatics Exercise Instructor, and she has a Bachelor;s degree in Exercise Science. Jen enjoys working with a wide variety of ages and fitness levels, and she has experience in youth sports and balance work for seniors.
When it comes to her fitness philosophy, Jen believes “exercise should be made possible and fun for everyone to enhance their health and well-being.” In her free time, Jen loves spending time with her family, hiking, running, visiting Disney World, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
Jennifer is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and Boxing Instructor, as well as a certified Cardiographic Technician, and she carries a specialty certification through ACE in Orthopedic Exercise. She has extensive experience working with people post-cardiac rehab, as well as with stroke, cancer, and Parkinson’s patients.
Jennifer provides a comfortable atmosphere with her clients to help them feel they can achieve their health and fitness goals, whether it is for weight loss or simply getting in shape. Jennifer believes health, fitness, and wellness are the foundations of a happy life, and she looks forward to helping her clients achieve their goals.
Kristy is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer, Orthopedic Specialist, and Group Ex Instructor, as well as a certified TRX Instructor & Schwinn Indoor Cycling Certified Instructor, and she's certified in BOSU, Dragon Door Kettlebell, and Precision Nutrition.
Kristy enjoys working with clients of all fitness levels and abilities, and has worked for the last several years as a Group Ex Instructor for a variety of Y classes. Kristy’s trainer philosophy: “I have learned through my group exercise experience that each individual has their own path to reach their goals. I believe in working with my clients to help them achieve their goals in way that works for them.”
Lacy is an ISSA-certified Personal Trainer, Master Trainer, Specialist in Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition Specialist, Youth Fitness Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Specialist in Exercise Therapy, Group Fitness, and Sports Nutrition, and Transformation Specialist. She has her Associate’s degree in Exercise Science and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree.
Lacy works with people of all ages with any goal, whether that is to lose weight, to train for a sport, or to just be able to stay mobile and have less pain. When it comes to her fitness philosophy, Lacy believes everyone deserves to live their best life, and if you focus on your health and your strength, the rest of the benefits will come. In her free time, Lacy loves having fun with her kids, exercising, riding and training horses, and doing church activities.
Lori is an AFAA- and ACSM-certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. She’s been involved in fitness for over 30 years, and her love for the way that exercise strengthened and restored her physical and mental health inspired her to become a certified trainer.
Lori has taught exercise classes at Indiana University, Bell Trace, and the YMCA. She was also a Wellness Coordinator at a post-secondary educational program for students with high-functioning Aspergers. In her free time, Lori enjoys having fun with her family, running, and going to the beach.
Mary has 18 years of experience working with clients of all ages and fitness levels. Mary has a Master's Degree in Kinesiology and is certified in Aquafitness, Yoga, Silver Sneakers, and Prenatal Fitness. She is also an ACSM-certified Exercise Physiologist and an AFAA-certified Personal Trainer.
Mary’s fitness philosophy: “Physical activity and fitness are essential to a feeling of well-being and a good quality of life. After becoming familiar with your personal goals and challenges, I can help you supplement your current activities to reach a more complete and well-rounded fitness program that fits your lifestyle.”
Mollie is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer and a Health Coach Institute-certified Health Coach. She is also training to become a group fitness instructor. Mollie’s strengths are in muscular and cardiovascular strength and endurance, focusing on core, balance, and flexibility, and training by the motto “quality over quantity.” She has experience working with ages 9+.
Mollie’s philosophy: “You’re never too young or too old to start your healthy lifestyle journey. We are all stronger than we think—it’s good to challenge ourselves.” In her free time, Mollie loves walking trails and having fun adventures with her family.
Shellie is a certified instructor for a variety of Group Ex classes on both land and in water. She has a special interest in helping others achieve their fitness goals, whatever they may be.
Shellie’s personal fitness philosophy: “Improving health and fitness is for everyone and should be enjoyable. Age and current fitness level doesn’t matter... It’s the commitment to start that matters.” In her free time, Shellie enjoys running and participating in triathlons.
Trey is a certified NFPT Personal Trainer who puts a large emphasis on mobility and minimizing pain. He has experience treating minor injuries and developing rehabilitation programs. Trey's philosophy: “when it comes to exercise and training, intensity is key. It’s quality over quantity.”
Trey enjoys weightlifting, strength training, and working to strengthen both the body and mind. He is a dog lover and a part-time Lyft Driver.
Walter is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer, and he is currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. His strengths as a trainer include his experience working with active aging adults and the many years of experience he has as a YMCA Personal Trainer.
Walter believes working with a trainer should be fun and uplifting; it should leave you with a sense of accomplishment. He also believes in “starting low and going slow” while getting a client to push themselves further than ever before.
