Half-Marathon Training
January 11-May 7

Train with our coaches to be in your top performance for a half-marathon! This program welcomes all levels of runners/walkers - no one gets left behind. Coaching for this program focuses on improving running/walking economy. 

Training Plans Include:

  • Training lengths of 5K, 10K, 13 miles & 26.2 miles
  • Resistance training weekly, specialized for runners and walkers
  • The program does not include half-marathon race registration

Due to COVID-19, we will meet and plan activities outside the YMCA building. If there is inclement weather, we will most likely not have organized training that day. Check-in will require face coverings to be worn.

Half-Marathon Training is limited to 50 participants. Program rates are $85 per Y member or $250 per non-member. Please note that race registrations are not included in the program fee.

Summer Running
May 12-August 6

Are you looking for an organized group to run with during the summer? Perhaps you're simply wanting to get off the couch, or maybe you've registered for a fall-running event this 2022. In any case, this is your program! Coaches are trained to help you with your running needs. Become a stronger runner and increase your running mileage. Improve your running/walking economy, balance training, nutrition, and recovery with your workouts.

Group trainers will design programming for 5K, 10K, and half-marathon races, tailored to your personal experience and needs. All levels of experience are welcome, even none at all! Running sessions will coincide with the Triathlon Training Group's practices.

Summer Running is open to ages 14+ and is limited to 50 participants. Program rates are $85 per Y member or $250 per non-member. Please note that race registrations are not included in the program fee.

Triathlon Training
May 12-August 6

Train like you never have before with the Y Endurance Training Group! Triathlon Training will include aspects of swimming, biking, and running. Along with customized training programs and expert, USAT-certified coaches, you will have the opportunity to train with a group of like-minded individuals, increasing your motivation and inspiration.

Training Plans Include:

  • Swimming instruction (stroke work, endurance, speed)
  • Open-water training swims
  • Bike rides (safety, endurance, speed)
  • Runs (technique, pacing, endurance, speed)
  • Specific triathlon resistance training

Due to COVID-19, we will meet and plan activities outside the YMCA building. If there is inclement weather, we will most likely not have organized training that day. Check-in will require face coverings to be worn.

Triathlon Training is open to ages 14+ and is limited to 25 participants. Program rates are $150 per Y member or $350 per non-member. Please note that race registrations are not included in the program fee.

Fall Running
September 6-December 10

This program is designed to get you out the door, putting one foot in front of the other. Whether you are wrapping up or just starting your running/walking journey, this training group is for you. With amazing camaraderie, group motivation, and training consistency, you will find yourself achieving more than you could ever imagine.

Join the Monroe County YMCA Endurance Training Group for fun, safety (in groups), and happiness. Programming is designed to get you to the 5K, 10K, and beyond the start line.
