2018 Half Marathon Training Program
Is running a half marathon one of you New Year's resolutions? Let the Monroe County YMCA Half Marathon Training Program help you put one foot in front of the other at a pace that suits your needs! All levels of runners and walkers welcome — no one gets left behind. Participants will receive coaching to improve their running and walking economy, training on lengths of 5K, 10K, 13.1 miles, and 26.2 miles, as well as weekly resistance training specialized for runners and walkers. Program ends with running the Indy 500 Mini Marathon (registration for program does not cover Mini Marathon registration).

Program begins Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm with a meeting in the Program Room of the Southeast Branch. A short run will take place inside the YMCA after the meeting.
$85 member/$200 non-member

Run for Fun Youth Running Group
Does your child want to explore the wonderful world of running? Join the Southeast YMCA youth running group! We will teach your child the importance of stretching, a good warm up, pacing, hydration, and a cool down. The emphasis will be on a personal goal-setting and FUN fitness! The group will be training to run the YMCA Spring and Fall Runs. The cost of the program will cover admission into the run and a t-shirt. Instructors will run the 5K with the youth participants.

Program begins Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
$70 member/$115 non-member

5K Fridays​
Discover a healthier you! Enjoy a fun, non-competitive, 5K Run/Walk. Check-in begins at 5:30 pm and the 5K starts at 6:00 pm. Event will run rain or shine. Participants will follow a marked course around the NW YMCA outdoor track. 5K Fridays are FREE and open to the public. Pre-registration is required before each 5K Friday at the Welcome Center.
